One of the many aspects of the Partnership has been providing training grants to build skills and knowledge within social enterprises. Many are looking for training to enable them to meet legal requirments. To date help has been given to a diverse spectrum of social enterprises supporting arts and crafts, community transport, farming and wildlife, fitness and health, heritage conservation, recycling, training and employment issues.

Some of this training has been carried out in the work place and for others has necessitated going on short courses or attending evening classes.

Other social enterprises have highlighted the need for ongoing coaching and mentoring and the Partnership is developing a mentoring programme using mentors mainly from within the sector.
