2010 Members Conference
Over 80 delegates are expected to attend this year's CSEP Conference
“Proactive Social Business” which will take place on Tuesday, 16 March 2010 at the new Wigton Market Hall Conference Centre (
download a map showing the centre and nearest car parks attached).
The conference will also be hosting the awards' ceremony for the CSEP 2010 award winners. This year the awards have 4 categories and winners will receive prizes of either up to £1,000 worth of training or £500 cash + £250 worth of PR support and £100 cash for the four runners-up.

Our first keynote speaker this year is David Daws a founding member of 4 social enterprises (including Entreprenurses CIC) and developer of one of the UK´s first not for profit management consultancies providing bespoke leadership and consultancy support to new social enterprises. David is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on social entrepreneurship, e-learning and leadership.
Our second key note speaker is Arni Wookey a specialist in marketing and globalisation. As an independent consultant Arni has delivered specialist support to clients in the UK and USA on topics covering market planning and direction, business motivation and customer perspectives. This included regular work with Philips, Toyota, Hewlett-Packard and more recently with Sony on their High Definition market strategy. At the CESP Conference Arni will be looking at how social enterprises might thrive more effectively in a competitive marketplace.
The conference also includes 2 workshops:
- “Funding and Assets” - positively responding to funding opportunities and maximising the use of your organisations assets
- “Social Marketing” - selling your business in a competitive marketplace.
