The county’s top social entrepreneurs came together to celebrate the second Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership Awards and Conference held this year at the newly refurbished Market Hall Conference Centre in Wigton on Tuesday, 16th March.
Nearly 90 delegates attended this year’s CSEP Conference “Proactive Social Business” and the winners of the 2010 awards were:

Speakers at this year’s conference included David Daws, a founding member of four social enterprises, including Enterprises CIC and developer of one of the UK´s first not for profit management consultancies, which provides bespoke leadership and consultancy support to new social enterprises.
Marketing and business development specialist Arni Wookey also spoke at the conference, focusing on how social enterprises can succeed and thrive in a competitive marketplace.
The two workshops held during the afternoon “Funding and Assets” and “Social Marketing” proved very popular with delegates.
